We stopped by TONI&GUY at NorthPark Center to learn how to create soft, beachy waves. Hannah, an educator at the salon, gave us some great tips on how to create this look.

Step one - Prep hair with a quarter size amount of TIGI Bead Head "Control Freak" ($19.99) to fight frizz, then spray Catwalk by TIGI "Salt Spray" ($20.99) for tousled waves throughout damp hair.

Step two - Starting with your natural part, start sectioning off hair with clips. Make sure the sections are rectangular, horizontal and no wider than the width of your brush.

Step three- Starting at the nape of the neck, split the hair down the center working the curls away from the face. The next section you will curl working towards the face. Each section you will alternate the curl pattern either going away from the face or towards the face. This will insure the curls don't come together and will keep separation and texture.

Step four - Once you have reached your rectangular section at the top, take one inch horizontal sections and each time switch the direction of the curl until you meet your last section at the hair line. That section you will part the hair where they naturally part it and curl both sides working away from the face.

Step five- Once the curls have cooled you will shake the curls out by placing you finger tips at the scalp and shaking avoid running fingers threw hair until hair is completely cooled or curls will fall flat. While shaking, spray TIGI Bead Head "Head Rush" ($21.99) to add separation and shine. Avoid the root area so they don't appear oily.

Try this look on your own or book a blowout at the salon with prices starting at $30. Call 214.750.0067 to book your appointment today. Purchase any of these products featured at TONI&GUY NorthPark Center.
