You can’t have too many sunglasses, and 2018 is an exceptionally good vintage.

Newness comes in happy hues and innovative lenses that are color matched to the frame and/or mirrored.
Look for brightly colored acetate frames with matching lenses and metallic frames with mirrored lenses.
Shapes are gentler versions of classics – subtly contoured aviators, circles, cat eyes and squares. There’s also smattering of sharp, angular styles look like they walked out of a sci-fi movie and thick, oversize frames occasionally embellished with pearls and crystals.
At Gucci, playful sunglasses abound. Check out rounded monochromatic styles in translucent raspberry or turquoise, heart-shaped sunglasses and gold pineapple-shaped frames dotted with crystals. Square pink translucent acetate frames handset with crystals highlight Gucci’s “Hollywood Forever Collection.”
Lacoste plays with monochromatics in a modified cat eye in rich burgundy or black and a unisex style, the squared off L.12.12, in opaque blue, red, green or black. The L.12.12 can be fitted with prescription lenses.

Tom Ford at Nordstrom
Look no farther than Tom Ford’s “Simone” mirrored sunglasses at Nordstrom. These modified aviators in polished rose gold have a bar over the top but no bridge for a streamlined look. Choose from lenses in light brown, sand or smoke.
Nordstrom stocks an array of mirrored shades at all prices, opening with Quay Australia’s translucent pink cateyes for $55. It’s also got roundish Ray-Bans, Burberry mirrored aviators and Gucci circles that reflect iridescent tiger heads, among others.
Neiman Marcus offers a great style by Tom Ford: the Jacquelyn gold metal aviator with mirrored lenses in gold or purple ombre.
Shades reflect your attitude, style and whimsy. After all, you’re wearing them on your face, so it’s best to have options to suit your mood and mode on any given day.
Keep your cool – and protect your eyes – with a wardrobe of chic sunglasses.
