Do you plan to celebrate the July 4th weekend with family and friends? If you’re hosting a barbecue this holiday, don’t forget the dessert!  Here are three sweet July 4th ideas from Bread Winners Café & Bakery, Paciugo and La Duni Latin Kitchen & Coffee Studio at NorthPark Center.

Bread Winners Café & Bakery Pies

It doesn’t get much more American than apple pie, so that makes it perfect for July 4th! Bread Winners is known for their home-made pies of delicate crusts and decadent fillings.  Pick from the traditional apple or apple crumb or try something new such as mocha mud, peach or cranberry apple walnut.  More than two dozen flavors are available for your choosing, and cost between $16 and $36. Bread Winners keeps their popular pies stocked, so just stop by or order ahead by calling 469-232-9798.

Paciugo Gelato

Healthier and smoother than ice-cream, gelato is an Italian treat that is perfect for the hot Texas summer.  Pick up a three pack for $9.99 and choose flavors in red, white and blue to make for a special July 4th treat. Popular flavors include wedding cake, wild berry, and blueberry yogurt.

La Duni Cupcakes

If you’ve ever tasted a dessert from La Duni Latin Kitchen & Coffee Studio, you know that it’s made from scratch daily with only the finest of ingredients.  There are a number of sweet items available from La Duni, including cakes, pastries, chocolates, and cupcakes.  For July 4th, why not try a variety of cupcakes flavors. A popular choice is this panque de limo cupcake layered with mantecada vanilla sponge cake, lemon-lime citrus curd and Swiss meringue.  Another great option for July 4th is the seasonal vanilla sponge cake and buttercream filling decorated with blue and red stars on the top. Each cupcake sells for $4.28.
