I always look forward to the majesty of the fall and winter seasons at NorthPark Center. These months are festive, magical, and filled with exceptional shopping opportunities, spectacular landscaping, lively entertainment, new artworks on view, and community-focused presentations. With the excitement of what’s to come, I am pleased to present the Fall/Winter 2019 issue of NorthPark The Magazine.

In our expressive Art of Shopping presentation, Contemporary Showcase, we present stunning looks from the Fall/Winter 2019 collections of NorthPark’s iconic luxury brands, including BOSS Hugo Boss, Bottega Veneta, Canali, CH Carolina Herrera, Dolce&Gabbana, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Neiman Marcus, Saint Laurent, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Versace. Extraordinary artworks created by world-renowned contemporary artists, including Katharina Grosse, Damien Hirst, Elliott Hundley, José Parlá, Sarah Sze, and more, serve as dynamic backdrops.
For The Artistry of Renoir, we are inspired by the Kimbell Art Museum’s extraordinary exhibition Renoir: The Body, The Senses. Acclaimed Dallas photographer Geof Kern captures this season’s luxury shoes, handbags, and fine jewelry amid vignettes influenced by the French Impressionist’s distinctive studio space and vast creative practice.
Fall is an exhilarating time for all students as they return to school for a new year of learning and discovery. In Style in Session, we present our textbook of wardrobe essentials from NorthPark’s hottest brands and showcase one of this season’s top trends—retro-inspired collegiate fashions from the 1970s and ‘80s.
In All About Beauty, NorthPark Ambassador and BeautyBio founder Jamie O’Banion shares her go-to NorthPark products for skincare, hair, and makeup. In A Feast for the Senses, NorthPark Ambassador and lifestyle expert Kimberly Schlegel Whitman shares entertaining tips for a festive holiday gathering at her family’s historic White Oaks Ranch near Lake Ray Roberts.
In this issue’s Designer features, we celebrate NorthPark’s exciting new arrivals: the luxury Italian fashion house Dolce&Gabbana, the trendsetting Italian shoe brand Golden Goose, and the chic French brand Sandro. We also spotlight Pinto Ranch with its unique Western- themed retail experience featuring many local designers.
Finally, in our Artist features, we focus on Mark di Suvero and his monumental work, Ad Astra (2005), and present never-before-seen photos of his hands-on installation process in NorthCourt. We also look into the sculptural practice of artist Siobhán Hapaska and speak to her about her thought-provoking work, snake and apples (2018), on view near Bookmarks, a dallas public library.
We sincerely hope you enjoy the Fall/Winter 2019 issue of NorthPark The Magazine and invite you to join us in the coming months to celebrate this special time of year.
