The past year has been a big one for beloved designer Tory Burch. In Fall 2013, she launched her first line of beauty products – including lipsticks, lotions, powders and more. The perfume was an instant hit and even found a spot on my own vanity.
While she has a line of active wear in the works, next up for Burch is watches. Her new timepieces arrived in the NorthPark Center boutique just last week, and they are all a stunning iteration of her brand.
There are six different styles of watches in the collection. The Tory ($695-$895) is menswear inspired, with large faces and stainless steel bands in both silver and gold. The faces come in a variety of colors, from blush pink to classic navy. If you look closely, “Tory Burch” is inscribed in miniscule letters along the inside edge of the dial. The collection is full of small details, which makes each piece all the more special.
Burch often names accessories like bags and shoes after her parents, and the watch collection is no different. The Buddy watches ($550-$595), named after her father, have a vintage feel with supple leather straps. These have a smooth, stainless-steel square case in two sizes – smaller for the “Buddy Signature” and larger for the “Buddy Classic.”
We are all familiar with the famous Reva shoe, with the round double “T” emblem across the toe. Now, Burch has released a timepiece version of the must-have flat. The Reva ($350-$395), named after her mother, has the iconic double “T” logo on the dial. This style has the most to choose from as far as colors are concerned. There are eight different varieties currently available.
All of Burch’s watches are hand-assembled in Switzerland, with timekeeping precision and impeccable craftsmanship. The face is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and each style features unique detailing. I’m predicting that these watches will be a big favorite come Christmastime. Which, by the way, is only 71 days away! It’s never too early to start holiday shopping for that special girl in your life.
