This week, Rebecca Taylor debuted a group of whisper-soft lingerie created with Eberjey, the intimate apparel and swimwear brand with a youthful vibe.
As the designer’s first entry in intimate apparel, Eberjey x Rebecca Taylor harks back to the soft lingerie silhouettes of the 1930s and 1940s. You’ll find no underwire or corsets here – only easy, feminine styles composed of silk and lace.
“I have always been inspired by vintage lingerie detailing and was excited for the opportunity to partner with Eberjey on creating an intimates capsule showcasing our signature florals, shades of nude and intricate lace trim,” says Taylor. “There is a magical quality to wearing beautiful lingerie that our girl really appreciates.”
The collection has seven silhouettes: a soft racerback bra with spaghetti straps, an empire-waist chemise, a camisole, thong panties, boy shorts, a romper and a classic pajama top and pants.
The fabrics include solid blush and black silk satin and two stretch silk satin prints – a delicate floral on a cream background, and a black and cream botanic print.
“The opportunity to partner with Rebecca Taylor and create a fresh offering in silk allowed us to tell our story through an exciting creative process that marries both brands,” notes Ali Mejia, Eberjey creative director.
Mejia, who established the Miami company 21 years ago with Mariela Rovito, says the label caters to “laterally challenged, flat-bottomed women” like herself. The boy short is one of its signature pieces.
Now available at Rebecca Taylor NorthPark, Eberjey x Rebecca Taylor is priced from $68 to $368. It’s perfect for a personal treat or a romantic getaway.
