The seven-year tradition of celebrating important causes championed by the NorthPark Ambassador Program continued on May 6, 2024, at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. The Ambassadors, along with NorthPark owners Nancy Nasher and David Haemisegger, representatives from the highlighted nonprofits, and members of the NorthPark team, filled the historic hotel's restaurant for this year's Ambassador Dinner.
The performances proved to be the highlight of the night. Kaira and Aissatou Rasa are two exceptional sisters who attend Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and are a part of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's Young Strings Program. They delighted the group with a rendition of Leclair Sonata No. 5. Later in the evening, soprano Courtney Maina, tenor Jordan Hammons, and pianist Sara Steele performed a special selection from La Traviata, debuting at The Dallas Opera this October.
While guests enjoyed a three-course meal crafted by the Mansion's new executive chef, Charles Olalia, Kimberly Schlegel Whitman provided insight into all of the 2024 Ambassadors and their chosen nonprofits. The evening concluded with a plate of myriad sweets and one last toast of champagne.
