THE YEAR OF THE TIGER

Lunar New Year, the most important and festive holiday in Asia, marks the beginning of the lunar calendar. Unlike the solar calendar, which begins the new year on January 1, the lunar calendar is based on the cycles of the moon and does not always fall on the same date. This year begins on February 1, celebrating the Year of the Tiger, the third animal of the Chinese zodiac. Many celebrate the holiday with traditions meant to usher in a lucky and auspicious new year—preparing special foods, wearing bright clothing, spending time and family and friends, watching lion and dragon dances, and more.

Many of NorthPark's retailers celebrate Lunar New Year with special collections and limited edition products.
