The moment you step foot into NorthPark Center, you realize right away it is not your ordinary shopping center.  Yes, you’ll find the best shopping experience in Dallas with the finest retailers from around the world – that’s to be expected. But what may come as a surprise is the massive art collection that rivals the best museums in the world.

Adding to that artistic mix beginning on Wednesday May 21 is a FREE exhibition on the work of Iván Navarro entitled This Land Is Your Land. The exhibition will be on view for one year, and was previously shown at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Located on Level One between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, the exhibition will feature three elevated water towers created by the artist to serve as a political and personal statement on the experience of immigration. Glowing from within, the words “ME/WE”, “BED,” and an image of a ladder, are reflected inside the vessel in stunning, neon lights.

Like the song by Woody Guthrie, Navarro is expressing the notion that “This land was made for you and me,” just like the millions of people who have pursued the American dream throughout its history.
