Denim is a staple in any closet. Each season we look for the perfect pair, it is just a matter of which cut and color to hunt down. This spring, there’s no shortage of options. We are even seeing denim from head to toe! The infinite range to choose from can be daunting, so I decided to pick a few of the many trendsetting pieces at NorthPark Center and break down the important role each piece can play in any wardrobe. Because let’s be honest, you can never have too much denim.

The light wash jean has returned and it is ready for the spring sunshine. It hits just above the ankle to show off your shoes. Don’t forget to make it distressed. This trend is extremely customizable. Whether you want one hole in the knee or full destroyed, edge up your look how you feel comfortable.

Madewell always has a wonderful denim selection. In Dallas, the weather goes from one extreme to another so jeans are not always the best choice. This boy-meets-girl Denim Courir Shirtdress ($98) is the effortless alternative we have all been searching for. Dress it up with wedges and a scarf or throw on your sneakers and run out the door.

Optic white is still what’s hot. AG has a wide selection of white to choose from, but I like the clean, classic Legging Ankle ($168). It is super skinny and a little cropped for a fresh take on the ever popular white legging. The best part? Faux front pockets so you don’t have that distracting extra fabric on your hip.

Another classic style is the denim jacket. Now it has a fresh take and can add chic to any outfit. The denim jacket styles are as diverse as jeans themselves, but I cannot get enough of the Gap 1969 Icon Denim Jacket ($69.95). Not only is the price a win, but the premium denim and authentic color prevent dye from rubbing off onto other fabrics. Style it over a sundress for a party or white jeans and your favorite tee.

Let’s talk accessories. Since denim is truly everywhere this season, have some fun with a playful denim handbag.
