The 2023 class of NorthPark Ambassadors descended upon the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek on March 27 for a special evening to celebrate 12 worthy causes. The ambassadors, plus their guests and representatives from their chosen organizations, enjoyed a three-course meal expertly crafted by the chefs at the Mansion Restaurant.
NorthPark owner Nancy Nasher kicked off the program by introducing Zihair Douglas, the 10-year-old winner of the 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Oratory Competition. Zihair passionately delivered his award-winning speech, which answered the question, "What would Dr. King say to us today about hope for tomorrow?"
Guests were then treated to an enchanting performance by 2019 Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition and Festival Audience Prize Winner Avery Gagliano. She took her immense talent to the grand piano situated in the dining room, much to everyone's delight.
The heart of the NorthPark Ambassador program was underscored by Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, who deftly walked through each Ambassador and the personal connection behind their selected charities.
The evening concluded with a plate of myriad sweets and one last toast of champagne. To learn more, visit media partner PaperCity's curated coverage of the dinner and our announcement blog post.
