The NorthPark family is incredibly saddened by the loss of Ryan Anthony—Principal Trumpet Emeritus for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, founder of nonprofit Cancer Blows, and dear friend of NorthPark. He was a master of music, and his innate gift was evident to all those who were lucky enough to hear him play. Ryan's rendition of Gabriel’s Oboe at NorthPark's 50th anniversary celebration in 2015 was one of those powerful moments.
We were so honored to have Cancer Blows and The Ryan Anthony Foundation be a part of NorthPark's charitable initiative titled Fifty Years of Giving. For many years, Ryan used his talents through Cancer Blows to bring light into the lives of patients, their families, and medical staff and to tirelessly work toward a cure for multiple myeloma and other blood cancers.
We encourage you to learn more about Ryan's meaningful and inspiring life and Cancer Blows at cancerblows.com. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ryan's wife Niki, his children, and the rest of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Please enjoy the video below, highlighting his important cause and featuring a portion of one of his memorable performances at NorthPark.
