Anthropologie, mecca for bohemian home bodies, has moved shop at NorthPark Center. Located near Neiman Marcus up until last week, the purveyor of shabby chic transformed the previous Banana Republic space into a whimsical wonderland – and we are ready to forgo our apartments and homes to move right in.
It’s tradition that the kitchen is the hearth of the home, and Anthropologie mimics that environment with the “Pantry” section greeting guests right at the door. Two front rooms burst with colorful glassware, cutlery, ceramics and the brand’s signature monogrammed mugs. A small library of unique cookbooks and endless selection of tea towels offers the perfect pairing for a hostess gift.
Flouncy dresses, floral rompers and a haul of denim items fill up the central space, flowing from wooden and distressed metal fixtures. The “Western” section is new to the brand and corrals jeans in one place for easy shopping.
Step into cult beauty heaven to browse Anthropologie’s curated mix of products. Indy brands like Mario Badescu, Kai, REN, Sunday Riley and more dot the marble tabletops among lush greenery. Bath lovers are sure to indulge in the salts by Tocca –beautiful glass packaging serves as an added bonus to its intriguing scents.
No bedroom sanctuary is complete without a bevy of Anthropologie’s iconic candles. The new NorthPark store has every size, shape and scent you can imagine, including plenty of the irresistible Capri Blue Volcano jar candles.
Prepare your office for prime productivity by delving into the “Take Note” display. Here you’ll find notebooks, gold desk accessories, packs of stationery and the perfect card for your mom or bestie. Wooden and metal monogram letters provide an extra touch of personality to any bookshelf.
One of the hallmarks of the Anthropologie brand is its spectacular visual merchandising. The NorthPark store is the first in the state to be outfitted with the fall décor lineup, and the final results are akin to museum masterpieces. The goal of the Anthropologie visuals team is to always make the ordinary extraordinary – all displays are handcrafted right in the store, and some take months to prepare before installing them overnight. Case in point, a trio of mannequins surrounded by prairie flowers delights shoppers from the moment they walk inside. Upon closer inspection, each flower is crafted from previously mundane office supplies like twist ties, paper tags and plastic straws.
All these cozy, quirky and lovely components come together to form a shopping experience like no other. Make plans to stop by the brand new Anthropologie store on your next visit to NorthPark – it’s located on Level One between Macy’s and Dillard’s.
