I love browsing around in Williams-Sonoma at NorthPark Center. I seem to always find a new gadget that I didn’t know I even needed until seeing it. I recently found out that there are even more reasons to visit Williams-Sonoma. From technique classes to the monthly Cookbook Club, Williams-Sonoma has everything for the home chef.
Free Technique Classes
Is there something specific that you would like to learn? Maybe you want to learn about the many uses for your new Vitamix or ways to cook eggs. Their culinary specialists will show you some of their favorite tips and techniques as they prepare and sample great recipes. The free technique classes that are usually held on Sundays last for an hour. Participants can enjoy 10% savings on select same-day purchases. The next class will be held on March 30 and will focus on how to transform a basic egg into frittatas, eggs Benedict and other delicious dishes. Class sizes are limited so make sure you call 214.378.6216 to reserve your spot.
Cooking Classes
If you’re looking for something a little more hands on, then the cooking class may interest you. Each 1½- to 2-hour class includes a cooking demonstration, generous samples of featured dishes and printed recipes to take home. You also receive 10% off store purchases that day. Call to reserve your spot for this class as well.
Cookbook Club
I love collecting cookbooks and trying new recipes. The monthly Cookbook Club at Williams-Sonoma is the perfect opportunity to explore new books. Their talented culinary experts lead these classes and they showcase a different cookbook each month. Each 1½- to 2-hour includes a three-course tasting menu from the book's best recipes. The class fee of $75 includes the cookbook with signed bookplate. On April 9, the class will feature Jamie Oliver’s Food Escapes cookbook. On the menu will be a market salad with walnuts and rustic goat cheese, patatas bravas, Venetian-style steak and the best tiramisu.
