Movies to See on Christmas Day

After you have opened presents and gathered around the dinner table, going to the movies is a great family activity on Christmas.  The AMC NorthPark 15 will be open on Christmas day. Here is a list of some must-see films this holiday season.

INTO THE WOODS

This star-studded film features several beloved fairy tales. In a modern day twist, they have intertwined the plots of your favorite characters. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy). There is also an original story involving a baker and his wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt). Their wish is to start a new family but first, they must deal with a witch (Meryl Streep) who has put a curse on them.

UNBROKEN

Adapted from the true story of Louis Zamperini and non-fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand, Unbroken is a tale of survival, resilience, and redemption. Louie enlists in World War II. After his plane crashes in the Pacific, he survives an incredible 47 days adrift in a raft. That’s just the beginning of his extraordinary story.
