Last fall, NorthPark Center launched Fifty Years of Giving to celebrate our fiftieth anniversary and to give back to 50 of the organizations that make our city great. The gifts were unique to each organization’s needs, and ranged from kits for victims of domestic violence to an outdoor playset for homeless children. The impact of many gifts was immediately realized, while some supported programs that would take shape within the coming year.
We are so pleased to see the start of Artist Spotlight on Art&Seek, KERA’s online hub for all things related to the thriving art world in Dallas. The weekly online series, funded by NorthPark and Fifty Years of Giving, aims to introduce North Texas to the people who make art in our community, including dancers, musicians, visual artists and actors.
The first post in the series features Denton-based set designer Clare Floyd DeVries and tells her story through video, photographs and an insightful Q&A. NorthPark is honored to be a part of KERA’s mission to provide original content and programming for our community. Look for a new Artist Spotlight each week over on artandseek.org.
