You know something major has shifted when sneakers dominate the men’s shoe department at Neiman Marcus.
Clearly, track shoes are one of the biggest style statements a man can make. And, thanks to trendsetters like Pharrell Williams, sneakers are having a moment with suits as well as street wear.
Snappy new sneakers blaze with color, print and detail, including embroidery, quilting, paint splatter and oversize logos. Artful destruction, ombre shading and metallics are also fresh. What remains consistent are the silhouettes — high tops, low tops and slip ons plus a few boat shoes.

They’re not necessarily the best, however, if you want to rock the sneaker and suit look.

A solid colored low top is the easiest to pull it off, such as Salvatore Ferragamo’s burnished walnut calfskin lace up sneaker. Bright white, soft beige or cognac leather also look smart.
